We champion BTEs as a pathway to economic and social revitalization for Black communities because the data suggest communities that don’t are leaving talent, money and opportunity on the table. At BTM, we practice advocacy through our programs and our policy recommendations.

STATE OF THE BLACK TECH ECOSYSTEM SUMMIT

This annual event is designed to stimulate conversation and action around the status of Black Tech Ecosystems—locally, nationally, and globally. The summit offers an opportunity for BTE stakeholders from around the globe to connect, exchange best practices, consider new questions, and plot the way forward. Our worldwide network is growing as individuals who’ve connected at the local level, come to the summit and build new relationships with other forward-thinkers from other parts of the globe. Past participants have included diversity and inclusion experts from the tech and business sectors, researchers, government leaders, entrepreneurs, educators, human resource practitioners, venture capitalists, community leaders, students, and policymakers.

Stay tuned for more info about the 2018 SBTE summit.

THE  NATIONAL DREAM TOUR

The State of the Black Tech Ecosystem (SBTE) has evolved into a global summit that unifies tech practitioners to mobilize change. Along the way we’ve examined that our worldwide network is in large part due to individuals first connecting locally with forward-thinkers. To optimize those connections we are introducing The DREAM Tour, a national expedition where pivotal conversations about tech equity engage local communities.
